Final Post for First Trip

We are packing up the apartment and will leave for Almaty this morning. I had a tearful night last night as we said goodbye for a while to Danny. I will miss that little guy so much. We will now be in the difficult situation of having 2 sons halfway around the world from each other. Today I woke up focused on getting home to Collin and our family and friends, knowing that we are one day closer to all being home together. We fly out of Almaty at 3 in the morning and after 28 hours will be back in Ohio. Here are a few more pics from the trip. I don't think we will have computer access until we are home so we'll sign off for now. Jacqueline

Thank you so much for allowing all of us outsiders to follow along on your very moving journey to your adorable sweet Danny. I know it must be so hard to say good-bye, I can not imagine how hard to must be. The good news is at least trip 1 is behind you and you only have 2 more trips to go.

Collin will be so happy to see you and your days will be filled with being busy. Hopefully the time will pass quickly till you re-unite with your sweet Danny again.

Safe travels home.

I am so glad you shared your trip on your blog. I have truly enjoyed "getting to know" your sweet little guy. Praying the time to bring him home comes quickly for your family.

Safe travels, home. We'll be hoping that the time passes quickly between trips. We made two trips, so I understand and empathize with how difficult it is to leave now. For what it's worth, Max remembered us when we returned 5 weeks later, and life has been the best possible journey ever since. We do hope our boys get to meet someday!

Have a wonderful reunion with Collin and we will be checking in regularly for Trip 2 news.

Ed and Jac,

Glad to hear the news. Give us a call when you get back home and let us know how it went.

Hope to be able to visit you and Danny when he gets HOME.

Love you,
